Biography
Wei Huang completed his PhD in Chemistry from University of Kentucky and postdoctoral studies from University of California, Davis. He is currently a staff research scientist at BD Biosciences at San Jose, California. He spent many years in the drug discovery industry and worked on antiretroviral drug development at Gilead Sciences, one of the leading pharmaceutical companies for HIV drugs. At BD Biosciences, he worked on the development of the FACSPrestoâ„¢ near-patient CD4 counter, which received CE-IVD and 510(k) clearance.
