Prof. Duygu PERN earned his medical degree from Kayseri, Turkey's Erciyes University in 1992 and went on to specialise in clinical microbiology in 2000. Since then, she has taken part in several research initiatives, as well as local, national, and international partnerships pertaining to bacteriology, infections in healthcare settings, disinfection, and sterilisation. Currently serving as both the Vice-Rector and Head of the Medical Microbiology Department at the Faculty of Medicine at Kutahya Health Sciences University is Prof. Duygu PERN. She also serves as the dean of the Health Sciences Faculty, from which hundreds of physiotherapists, nurses, and midwives graduate each year. She chairs the Turkish Society for Disinfection Antisepsis Sterilization's DAS, the World Federation for Hospital Sterilization Sciences' Executive Committee, and the International Air Quality Society's Stirring Committee.

Both Jana I. Preis, MD, MPHundergraduate ,'s and graduate studies were completed at George Washington University. At the Yale University School of Medicine, she pursued specialised study in infectious illness and hospital epidemiology. Her specialties include infection management of newly developing illnesses, treatment and prevention of infections in immunocompromised hosts, and hospital antimicrobial stewardship. Dr. Preis has over fifteen years of expertise in infectious disease research and academic medicine. He also has a wealth of medical media knowledge and has made contributions to community health in New York. She is actively interested in medical teaching and clinical research.

Since he has been a full professor at Stanford Medical School for some time and is connected to a number of initiatives, including the Stanford Cancer Research Institute, Dr. Matin has chosen to retire on July 1, 21. His significant research accomplishments include the development of novel medications, therapeutic enzymes, and their enhancement as well as their targeted treatment of cancer (and other diseases). Prior to moving to Stanford, he completed his doctoral work at UCLA and then spent some time at the State University of Groningen in the Netherlands, where he oversaw a research team. He has received many accolades and prizes.

Leticia M. Estevinho earned a summa cum laude in zootechnical engineering in 1985 and a merit-based M.S. in biotechnology in 1989. completed the PhD in Science programme at Minho University in Braga, Portugal, in 1995. The final stage of the academic career in Portugal, the proofs of Agregaço, were successfully completed in 2009. Estevinho has extensive experience in student coordination and has worked at the Agricultural College of Braganca in Braganca, Portugal, since 1986. (16 PhD students and three Postdoctoral researchers). Leticia M. Estevinho has written five book chapters, more than 120 papers in indexed international magazines, and more than 160 oral and written presentations to her credit. Was the lead researcher on more than 25 fully funded scientific projects and published five international patents. Since 1986, she has served as the laboratory's head. Editorial boards of 19 international journals now include the former editor-in-chief of three journals, who has also revised more than 300 papers from indexed journals. Estevinho is currently employed by Agregaço as a Coordinator Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Braganca in Portugal.

Dr. Maurice Y. Mongkuo is Professor of Public Administration at Fayetteville State University (FSU) and PI/Project Director of FSU MSI CBO HIV Prevention Project. Dr. Mongkuo has a BA degree from Kenyon College; and MPIA and Ph.D. in public policy research and analysis from the University of Pittsburgh. He has authored two books and over 30 peer-reviewed articles, monographs, technical reports, and policy briefings on HIV prevention behavior and socio-economic problems of at-risk minority youths and adults. He is currently the PI/Project Director of FSU Comprehensive Integrated Substance Abuse and HIV Prevention Program, and was a Co-PI of FSU Multi-level Integrated HIV Prevention Program. For over 20 years, Dr. Mongkuo has been the Principal Investigator, methodologist and Project Director of several government-funded policy research projects and community prevention projects involving at-risk minority populations and communities. He has also served as public policy consultant for several local and state governments and organizations where he assessed disparities policies and programs to enhance minority participation in government contracts and employment. He serves on the Editorial Board of 21 peer-review Medical and Public Health Journals. He has presented over 50 research papers and served as discussants at numerous professional conferences. Dr. Mongkuo has served as expert witness before governing boards on issues involving racial and ethnic minority representation in government contracting. Dr. Mongkuo also served as the Director of Development and Programs for the Pinellas County, Florida Urban League where he developed and sustained social and educational programs for at-risk persons in predominantly minority communities.

My research and scholarship portfolio is a diverse nexus of social science, and behavioral and public health research. I am the author of two books and over thirty refereed journal articles, monographs, and public policy research reports; and have serve as principal investigator/research director of numerous funded research and public service grant projects. My research and consultancy focus on at-risk health behavior, healthcare and economic disparities in underserved communities and people, global health, HIV/AIDS prevention behavior, evidence-based interventions and development , development and validation of measurement and structural models of at-risk behavioral health prevention, epidemiological methods, and public-private partnerships and collaboration. Throughout my career, I have conducted research and worked with university officials, and community stakeholders and constituents of underserved communities to develop effective community engagement and evidence-based intervention strategies. In recent years, my research has focused on developing global measurement and structural models for designing and assessing risky sexual behavior and health strategies for at-risk populations. I am the recipient of numerous awards, including a Certificate of Achievement for Outstanding Contribution and Commitment to the Advancement of Research and Sponsored Programs and Excellent in External Funded Grant Submissions awarded by Fayetteville State University Board of Trustees, and “Best Paper Award” for one of my published works on HIV prevention by the International Organization for Social Science and Behavioral Research (IOSSBR).

Wei Huang completed his PhD in Chemistry from University of Kentucky and postdoctoral studies from University of California, Davis. He is currently a staff research scientist at BD Biosciences at San Jose, California. He spent many years in the drug discovery industry and worked on antiretroviral drug development at Gilead Sciences, one of the leading pharmaceutical companies for HIV drugs. At BD Biosciences, he worked on the development of the FACSPrestoâ„¢ near-patient CD4 counter, which received CE-IVD and 510(k) clearance.

Dr. Reza Nassiri is a Professor of Clinical Pharmacology, Professor of Family and Community Medicine, and lecturer in Global Health, Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His research interests focuses on Clinical Pharmacology of HIV/AIDS & TB, prevention and control of infectious diseases, neglected tropical diseases, community health, global health, and socio-ethical determinants of health. Prof. Nassiri works on international public health issues and has expertise in global health education, research, policy and governance. He has made contributions in various fields of medical sciences including clinical investigation and health education. One the basis of his extensive experience and expertise in HIV/AIDS and TB, he developed Clinical Research Programs in Brazil, South Africa, Haiti, Dominican Republic and Mexico. The core foci of such programs are socio-cultural, bio-ethical determinant of HIV/AIDS and TB prevention, control and intervention.

Dr. Tesfaye Belay is currently a professor of biology at Bluefield State College (BSC), WV. He earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia and Masters of Science in microbiology and PhD in botany and plant pathology from Michigan State University. Before joining BSC in 2005, he served as postdoc at Georgia State University, Morehouse School of Medicine, Clark University and an adjunct instructor of biology at Morehouse Collegeand Spelman College.He has authored and co-authored 27 articles that have appeared in many peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has trained more than 50 undergraduate students in basic biomedical research that have presented their research findings at both local and national meetings. He has won several awards including outstanding researcher award from all Thurgood Marshall Member institutions throughout the nation 2009, faculty of the year at BSC in 2015. Dr. Belay is a member of the American Society for Gravitational and Space Research, American Society for Microbiology, and the Association of American Immunologists.

Lorece V. Edwards, DrPH, MHS is the Director of the Center for Sexual Health Advancement and Prevention Education (SHAPE) and Professor of Public Health at Morgan State University’s School of Community Health and Policy. Dr. Edwards is known as an authentic public health champion. As a scholar-activist, she has published in several peer-reviewed journals. Her research has been presented at international, national, and local conferences and workshops.

He finished his PhD at the University of Hamburg in the group of Professor Hauber at the Heinrich Pette Institute – Leibniz Institute for Experimental Virology, where he is currently perusing his Post-doctoral studies.
